Thank You

My first blog post goes out to all the wonderful people who have supported my brand. Thank you for purchasing and wearing Pride & Joy gear. Thank you for liking my pictures and moreover, thank you for taking the time to take pictures yourself and posting them. That is pretty damn cool.

When I started Pride & Joy two years ago, I was drawn by the idea of making cool stuff and the potential of making a little dough. I wasn’t smart enough to foresee the intangibles I’d gain, which happen to be the most fundamental aspects of life: people and relationships.

I’ve met so many great people even though my company’s bite-sized at this time. I’ve met people from my own coastline here in California. I’ve met people from across the country in places like Alabama and Tennessee. And I’ve met people outside this country in places like Spain and the UK. They were the intangibles I didn’t foresee. And now they are people I consider friends.

Some days I question myself: am I talented enough, smart enough to succeed in this endeavor? Will this Little Engine eventually make it over the hill or shall I hang'em up and return to the corporate world? And then I'll see a picture one of you posted showing your support. It lights me up, fills me with joy, makes me carry on. And for that I say Thank You.
