Bye Bye Bud Light

Today I cleaned out my refrigerator and gave it a new look. Bud Light was my beer—something I thought would never change. But thanks to the current woke zeitgeist, even the most mundane in life is fair game now. Nothing is sacred anymore. This is why we—most of the consumers of Bud Light and Jack Daniels—are upset. It's not that we hate transgender people or that we oppose adults wanting to change their gender identity like the mainstream media portrays us. It's that these companies are forcing something down our throats that isn't whiskey or beer; something we didn't purchase. Making someone the face of your brand who is completely antithetical to your core demographic is essentially conveying that you don't care about your customers and moreover take them for granted. This is the essence, I believe, of why people are upset. At least it is for me.

Time for a new beer.
