ABC Hosted Debate Takeaway

The biggest takeaway from the debate wasn’t necessarily the egregiously biased ABC moderators themselves, but that republicans continue to allow themselves to play by the left’s rules and expect a positive outcome. Democrats never do this to themselves. Kamala has done only one interview since becoming the democrat nominee, which of course was done by CNN under her conditions. She would never allow herself to be interviewed in an unfavorable environment. Can you imagine Sean Hannity interviewing her? She would never allow that. Likewise, she probably won’t agree to a second debate if it’s hosted by Fox.

On the other hand, republicans continuously seem willing to step into enemy territory. Trump stepped on the turf of CNN for the first debate and then ABC for the second. He agreed to an interview by ABC News Rachel Scott at the National Association of Black Journalists convention where he was treated with such disrespect and hostility. He did one with Kristen Welker on NBC’s Meet The Press. His running mate, JD Vance, has been on with CNN’s Dana Bash and also the virulent Kaitlan Collins.

Why do they continuously do this to themselves? It’s very perplexing and frustrating for me and for many other Americans on the right. Do they have so much confidence and faith in themselves that they believe they can overcome any disadvantage and still be victorious? People on the right pride themselves on being logical but this is so not logical. You can’t be behind by two touchdowns in the last five minutes and expect to win the game. Trump at the debate was like an overconfident team that takes its opponent for granted, plays on their turf, doesn’t prepare, doesn’t get any calls, and still expects to win.

Republicans have to stop shooting themselves in the foot. It’s hard enough to win with a media that’s blatantly biased, dishonest, and actively working against them. They cannot continue to help them in the process. That’s lunacy. They have to start playing hardball.
