A New Low

Dear Carron J. Phillips, do you get off on bullying little kids?

According to this Pulitzer Prize nominee: "A Kansas City Chiefs fan found a way to hate Black people and the Native Americans at the same time" by wearing blackface and a headdress. Mr. Phillips shows a picture of the fan (a profile shot) with his face painted black. Actually, only half his face was black and the other side red, which you wouldn't know from the photo. And actually, this "fan" (he's never referred to as a kid) happens to be part Native American, which of course was also not mentioned. The writer probably didn't even know this. Didn't do his due diligence. But the truth is irrelevant; it doesn't matter. Fake News.

If you want to know what a true scumbag this writer is, read his article and then watch the interview with the kid Jesse Watters did. The kid's not a racist. He doesn't hate black people or Native Americans. He's simply a kid dressing up for his favorite football team. It's one of those innocent joys kids are able to have unless scumbags like Carron Phillips destroy them. Should we kill Halloween too or just allow it for kids of a certain color?

The fact that we are even discussing this speaks volume of how outlandish cries of racism have become. They are like a drug. Cries of racism start with a simple hit of marijuana, i.e., Republicans are racist, everyone on the right is now the "far-right", etc. After much repetition, they no longer produce the same effect; they no longer have the same impact. Thus, it's time to pack a bigger bowl or move on to a harder drug. It's time to start going after kids. These people have jumped the shark.

Why does the discourse on racism in our country always defaults to whites against blacks? We don't hear much about whites against other minorities; we don't hear much about one minority group against another; and we definitely don't hear about blacks against whites. It's as if the only racism that exist is whites against blacks like there's some kind of grand conspiracy involved. In realityland, these kind of cries by Carron Phillips are a device used like CTR and "white privilege" to change the social landscape of our country. The more people believe in "systemic racism" the easier they can implement things like DEI and reparations. It's about power.

So how did we get to this point of kids being targeted simply for donning their favorite sports team? It's years of people like Carron Phillips pushing the same narrative, which includes whites as well who do so to ensure their own non-complicity. It's years of most of us sitting on the sidelines watching it metastasize. When is enough, enough? Soon it will be your kid, your family.
